I'm thinking I will be hitting the East Aurora/West Aurora game on opening night. I'm looking forward to Morris At Oswego in week 3 and a few of the Batavia games.
I'll probably also get out to Plano, Aurora Christian and Yorkville games this year.
Until the playoffs, I will stay local and then hit the bigger schools come playoff time.

I know I say this every year, but I'm going to try really hard to make it this year to the Aurora East vs. West game.
With Chicago Englewood not having a football program anymore, it looks like the chance for a match up with Chicago's Hyde Park (the states oldest active rivalry) is no longer active. That puts the West vs. East game as the states oldest active rivalry. Of course I say I'm going every year.
Also, on a traveling note. I'm not only planning on covering game action when I'm on the raod, but I'm looking to do minny reviews on places to eat when visiting football towns. I always get suggestions, but rarely have time to follow up on them, so this year I'm making a point of it to leave Chicago early so I get to eat local when I cover a game.
Taking suggestions on games and food from here on out.

Somebody has to cover the entire state.
Vince, this year's East/West game is at East. If you want some good Pizza with a bit of atmosphere, go to Gario's Pizza on Montgomery Road in Montgomery. It's about 2 miles from the High School.
Before the game you won't have a problem, but after the game it will be filled with fans.
Ach n' Lou's Pizza near the tollway on Farnsworth is very good too.
I am working on gettting video equipment for the East/West game and all the other games i do also. I just got certified to do Public Access TV for the Fox Valley area and I plan shooting all the games I attend and putting together a video at the end of the season.

richards bulldogs--- v morgan park and oak forest these games are turning into huge rivalry games for each team. weeks 2, 3, and 4 will be very exciting games for the bulldogs. week 2 v morgan park @ gately this year. last year bulldogs won at home. week 3 v oak forest @ home, always a contest, last year was a shootout. going into 2overtimes. week 4 v lemont @ lemont, bulldogs missed a huge opportunity to win last years game with a first and goal on the 2 yard line fumbling on the option.
depending on what you like to eat, you can have pizza(beggars, 103rd central), mexican(la playita or super burrito, 105th ridgeland), anything from (maxwell polish on 111th st.) and if you would like to sit and eat (jenny's steak house also on 111th st), if you want a beer go to (the grove also on 111th st.) all 3 between ridgeland and central.
