Every year we try to cover the state as best as we can. Going to the big games and covering the best teams.
And while the site has seen 30% more visitors than last year, we know that the word is getting out and people like what we're doing. Still we want to be the best source out there for Illinois High School Football, so we're puutting the question to you. What do you want to see on IHSFW.com?
Fill in the poll and feel free to post any ideas or thoughts you have on the matter.

our coverage of high school sports is sad. i have direct tv, you can watch every other states high school football (or any sports teams) weekly. why can not the state of illinois publicize/televise and showcase their high school sports. i think all schools should be able to televise their games locally at a minimum and showcase all schools at least once a month regionally, meaning their conference should showcase each team in the conference regionally. so some of the schools get a chance to see the different schools from their region. too many times the big (private)schools get all the glory in the media.
I think the biggest problem with broadcasting Illinois high school football is that while we have major programs in the state, not many people outside of Illinois think of us as a football state. Basketball is king on the national level for Illinois high school sports.
That being said, the IHSA seems more pre-occuppied with controling media coverage of the state's school than it does in possibly promoting it's athletes and the game to a national level. I would go in depth a little more, but it's really for another post.
Let's just say that the news media outlets in this state are growing tired of the IHSA's backroom dealings.

I don't know, I've heard some pretty bad play-by-play guys doing high school sports. Almost enough to make you just get in the car and drive down there.
I think TV could help get more peolpe to a game actually. If you get teams that people think are important enough to be on TV, then it just might cause people to drive there to see the game first hand and be part of the hype.

I always heard they telivised the Jeresy Panthers games in Jerseyivlle, IL. But attendance started droppin gway off.
I'm small school, so I don't want my games televised (except maybe in the hospital for those who can't make it). I want every able body fan from Carrollton at the game.

That could depend on when the started to televise games. 4 years ago Jersey was a playoff contender each year. Of the last couple of seasons they've been struggling.
