CAHOKIA - The Alton-Cahokia football game originally scheduled to be played Friday in Cahokia has been moved to a 7 p.m. start Saturday at Public School Stadium in Alton.
Cahokia Athletic Director Roscoe Dowell said storm damage to the press box and electrical system is still being repaired and caused the game to be moved to Alton.
To the best of my knowledge, a win is a win. It will come into play in the playoff points part of being ranked for the playoffs.
Each win an opponent you have gets, adds to the playoff point total. There for a team that forfeits all of their games, would bring no playoff points to the table. A second tie breaker playoff point is made up of the wins of the teams that you have beat.
Basically if you go 9-0 & every team youplayed went 8-1 you could get 72 playoff points, and 72 secondary playoff points.
If you went 8-1 and every team you played went 8-1 you could get 72 playoff points & 64 secondary playoff points.
This stops teams from playing nothing but weak teams and going 9-0 and stealing a top seed.
