Sadly the LZ Bears lost a close one to Libertyville 9-10. The difference was a missed PAT. LZ also had a chance to finish it with a field goal in the first half, but it was shanked low and to the left. A last second drive also got the Bears down to the Libertyville 40 with 4 chances to get into decent football range but it never happened.
Coal City (3-1) beat Wilmington 6-0 in a pivotal I-8 game. CC scored on a 60 yard pass(through a pill) from JT Blaine to Timm Kroeger. Kroeger broke a tackle and was heading for paydirt. CC defense along with Wilmington D played spectacular. CC at Dwight this week. Wilmington at Seneca.
