Yay first reply!

Anyway Lake Zurich beat Zion Benton in a North Suburban Conference Lakes Division game 28-6. I was not at the game but I will send in a game summary tomorrow morning from my sources. LZ improves to 4-1 (2-1) while Zion Benton falls to 0-5 (0-3).

East St. Louis won 42-17 over Alton.   It could of been alot worse, but east side kept shooting it self in the foot with stupid penalties.   I counted 13 penalties in the first half alone for east side.  To make matter worse, Alton just played a horrible game.

Edwardsville got a scare in Granite City.   Edwardsville came from behind in the 4th qaurter to win 7-3.   The weather conditions wasn't good for this game.

Kaneland 24, Batavia 14

• Kaneland's defense stepped up big time, holding the Batavia offense to 201 total yards. The Knights gave up just one TD to the Bulldog offense.

• Senior quarterback Boone Thorgesen passed for 407 yards to lead the seventh-ranked Knights (Class 5A) to the win over the fourth-ranked (Class 6A) Bulldogs.

• Four Kaneland receivers had 83 or more yards of receiving: Jody Henningson (124), Casey Crosby (111), Nick Martinelli (88), Alex Blazek (83).

Yeah, I was going to correct those scores.   I left the Est St. Louis-Alton game with about 3 minutes left and was told that was the final score.   Edwardsville also scored a late TD to make it 14-3.   Sorry about the mistakes!
