It's a big State, Nominate your team or player of the week

I know it's midwaythrough the season and some folks have already started talking about the basketball season, but if you're at a game and you see a team or a player do something out of the ordinary. Let us know.

We've been tring to do an all around player and then an offensive or defensive player of the week. So just because somebody else may have rushed for 500 yards doesn't mean we're going to over look the guy with 5 sacks and a defensive TD.

 Manteno middle linebacker #40 Jimmy Sandling.


The 6'0 205 lb. Jr. linebacker had 17 tackles, 4 for a loss and 1 QB sack as the Manteno Panthers beat the Herscher Tigers 13-12. Sandling also caught a TD pass for the go ahead score.
