Who is missing from the BIG 30?
Permalink Closed

I haven't got any death threats or even hate mail this year, but I'd like to see if there are any teams the users of this board feel got left out of the BIG 30.

I struggled with a few teams I wanted to see in, but wanted to wait until they proved themselves first.

Below is a list of teams that could have made a Big 40 ranking if I did one. Let me know which team you would have given the nod to.

Sterling will be in the Big 30 at some point this season. They will be hungry after last years first round exit from the 5A playoffs.

I would also throw Driscoll in the Big 30. 5 state title in a row has to count for something.

This will be a nice little secret for people who like to know about things that go on behind the scenes. Driscoll was in the Preseason Big 30 that was sent out the day before it was posted on the site, to all the people who write or photograph for the site.

Maora-Forsyth & Decatur (St. Teresa) were also tied at 30 at one point a week ago, but even though Luke Hockaday of MF & Sean Dunning of St. T are two of the top prospects in the state, I have a hard time putting a smaller team in the BIG 30 till I see them dominate their class like they are a 6A or 7A team. Plus, I always feel like it's the kiss of death, every small team I've ever put in the BIG 30 since 1999, with the exception of Harrisburg in 2000, has lost in the regular season or the early stages of the playoffs.

Glenbrook South. The Trib has them at 15.
