Week #6, Where will you be?

Week #6 is coming around and there are some big games this weekend.

I've been getting emails about Alden-Hebron vs. Mooseheart and Scared Heart-Griffin vs. Chatham-Glenwood, but what I really want to know is where are you die hard fans of teams that might not make the playoffs going to be?

Show your schools spirt. Is your squad 0-5, but you think they can pull off teh first victory of the year this Friday? Is it homecoming and you think you might upset a top ranked team?

Are you a player on a 1-4 team and you'll be busting your hump to go 4-0 from here out so you can make the playoffs? Let us know.

I will be in Hillsboro Illinois!

The 5-0 Toppers will play the 5-0 Greenville Comets...

I will be here because the winner of this should decided the South Central Champion!

Friday I'll be at Glenbrook South-Maine South where I think Maine South will prove they are for real and beat GBS in a high scoring shootout. That's the main reason I'm going. 2 high powered offenses slugging it out.

Well, I'll be at the aforementioned Hebron/Mooseheart game.  I'll be cheering on the Hebron Giants to be victorious, but I also hope the Mooseheart Red Ramblers finish the year strong.  Both schools have an honorable program -- so coach Lalor (Hebron) and coach Urwiler (Mooseheart), fight hard!!!

Raiders & Griffins...

LWE's first game against a good team (unfortunately Provi & Naperville C are struggling). First time against a capable (more than capable) offense. First time against a good well rounded defense that will lay the lumber and get after the QB. A chance to redeem last year's performance (though they won) of allowing Martin to run wild (160+ yds in 15 carries). A chance to prove that a previously struggling offense is ready to perform at the championship level.

For the Raiders it's a chance to prove that they arent outclassed by the LWE's of the world. A chance to show that they can win big games. A chance to show that their defense is MUCH better than they are given credit for. Another opportunity for Martin to show that he is the #1 player in IL despite 3 other players being placed above . And a chance to show that the Raiders are more than just Dale Martin.

My prediction? Raiders 20, LWE 14.

I will be in tigertown to see Edwardsville play Alton and it will be pack because of homecoming!   If Alton doesn't play better than last week, it could be anther long night for the Redbirds.

I was extremely disappointed in MS at the GBS-MS game. THey were flat out dominated for 3 quarters. They did not look strong at all until the 4th. Hopefully they'll rebound and play well against NT next week.
