Yes, this may seem early, but so are many of this week's games in various conferences. The week really gets going on Thursday of this final-regular-season-game installment.
Where's the excitement? Any make-or-break games worth noting?
I'll be in Hebron watching the 8-0 Giants take on Wayland Academy at 3:30pm. But anyone reading these posts probably already knew that. I'm also guessing there are a few 'Topper fans, Tigers, and Bulldog fans that'll be out supporting strongly, too -- in their various neighborhoods. What's the scoop, neighbors?
Not a make-or-break game (we had that one last week) but I'll be right down the road from you in Woodstock watching our Cary-Grove Trojans try to complete a third straight undefeated regular season. Good luck to the Giants - maybe we can have 3 McHenry County teams (including Marian Central) go all the way this year!
I've been keeping track of those Trojans -- impressive once again. But let's extend the wishes all the way, while we're at it and include the Harvard Hornets in the action in 4A. They've had a very impressive season with only one tough loss, and have great playoff opportunities as well! Go McHenry County!
this week, we take on the argo. never a dull game, and argo has a new field in which we will play on friday night, i think they got that new rubberized turf.
my big weekend is starting off with richards bulldog football, and then sunday, i coach at OLOR (rockets) and my 7TH & 8TH graders play for first place in their division, fighting for a playoff spot in our catholic league. my middle guy is an 8th grader plays inside linebacker for me.
Hey BulldogDad, looks like there's a good chance our teams could meet in the playoffs. If so, it would be pretty late (quarters or semi's); I think we'll both be seeded pretty high. As far as I can tell, we've only met once before, in the '87 quarterfinals- Richards won. We need a chance to even the score! Good luck, hope to see you down the road.
i will have to look at the seedings after fri nites games, we can then map out our 6a road to ship. let s get out of the first round first. we had a not so good game last year against oak forest and when the lights went off at richards that nite a piece of everybodies heart went with it. my son is a junior this year and more meaningful for him this year and next.
